    Description:

    Join our specialized care team in the High Dose Therapy and Ambulatory Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. As a Patient Care Technician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients through complex treatments, working alongside nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Patient Care:** Provide comfort and hygiene support to meet individual patient needs.

    + **Technical Support:** Assist with testing and treatment procedures, including IV setup and priming, 12-lead ECG, tracheostomy care, dressing changes, CPR, and specimen collection.

    + **Equipment Preparation:** Help set up and maintain medical equipment for procedures.

    + **Patient Transport:** Safely assist patients with ambulation and transfers using assistive devices.

    + **Communication & Documentation:** Accurately document care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team while maintaining strict confidentiality.

    + **Quality & Efficiency:** Use time and resources wisely to promote excellent outcomes and cost-effective care.

    Qualifications

    + **Education:**

    + Preferred: High School Diploma plus relevant training or experience.

    + **Experience:**

    + Required: Less than 1 year of related experience.

    + Preferred: 1–2 years in a similar role.

    + **Licensure/Certifications:**

    + Required: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA.

    + Must be listed on the Illinois Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry or have equivalent clinical education.

    COMPENSATION

    Pay Range: $20.05 - $26.81 per hour

     

    _Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
