As a **Security Officer - Truck Gate** in **York, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a cultural institution, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. You will utilize your customer service skills and technology to manage access points, respond to alarms, and assist with security-related matters. What You'll Do:

+ Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of visitors, staff, and contractors.

+ Provide customer service by assisting guests, answering inquiries, and directing individuals as needed within the location.

+ Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to observe and report suspicious activity or potential concerns.

+ Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and maintenance issues as required.

+ Support emergency response activities when appropriate, providing guidance and assistance to individuals at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
