As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding our core values of integrity and teamwork. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter disturbances and/or potential threats.

+ Communicate professionally with staff, residents, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal standards.

+ Document incidents and activities according to site and Allied Universal protocols.

+ Support shelter operations by assisting in security-related matters as directed by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.

+ Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ Have a concealed carry weapons permit.

+ Have an armed guard card or armed guard license.

+ Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.

+ Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.

+ Have supervisory experience.

+ Possess a corrections officer license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
