As a **Security Guard - Utilities Reception** in **Richmond, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors, assisting guests, and monitoring access to the facility. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.

+ Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials for employees, visitors, and contractors.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including providing directions and information to first responders.

+ Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.

+ Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual activity according to Allied Universal procedures.

+ Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals entering or exiting the location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
