As a **Security Officer - Armed Patrol Utility Sector** in **Jacksonville, FL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in providing security-related services at a utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations at the utility location in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns within the utility environment.

+ Follow all site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and reporting procedures.

+ Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related needs specific to utility operations.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
