As a **Security Guard - Academic Building Rounds** in **Philadelphia, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.

+ Document observations and incidents in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.

+ Collaborate with campus personnel and/or local authorities when appropriate to address incidents or emergencies.

+ Remain alert to changing conditions within the education environment and adapt patrols and responses accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

+ Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
