What You'll Do:

+ Provide excellent customer service by following Allied Universal procedures and location-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques when necessary.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

+ Maintain a visible presence as an armed security professional to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

+ Document and report any suspicious behavior, incidents, or security-related concerns according to company and client protocols.

+ Work collaboratively with location management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and concerns.

+ Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times while on duty, adapting to changing environments within the retail setting.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Handcuffing certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
