**Location:** Kansas City, MO
Compensation & Incentives
+ **Base Pay:** $27–$37/hr (up to 17 years of experience considered for max rate)
+ **CV-Certified Candidates:** Eligible for higher pay tier up to **$45/hr** , depending on years of experience
+ **Shift Differentials:** $3/hr Nights | $3/hr Weekends
+ **Sign-On Bonus:** $25,000
+ **Schedule:** Full-time, 40 hours/week
+ Primary need: **Days, rotating weekends**

Role Overview
The **CVOR Tech III** is a senior-level technologist responsible for supporting complex and high-risk surgical procedures. This role serves as a key resource and mentor within the OR, ensuring high-quality patient care and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
You will function in both first and second scrub roles, anticipating surgeon needs, managing instrumentation, and providing hands-on support during operative procedures.
This facility is a 585+ bed hospital offering comprehensive services across women’s health, emergency and trauma care, stroke care, orthopedics, cardiovascular programs, and more.
Key Responsibilities
+ Serve as lead technologist for advanced surgical procedures, including robotic, total joints, neuro/spine, burn, and vascular cases
+ Handle instruments, equipment, and supplies during procedures
+ Anticipate surgeon needs and support complex CVOR and open-heart surgeries
+ Maintain sterile field and adhere to safety and quality standards
+ Assist with tasks such as sponging, suctioning, cutting sutures, retracting, and manipulating the endoscopic camera
+ Support and mentor other OR staff as needed
+ Participate in on-call rotation
+ **Must reside within 30 minutes of facility**
Qualifications
+ **Required:** Minimum **1+ years of CVOR and open-heart tech experience**
+ **Strongly preferred:** 7+ years of CVOR and endovascular/hybrid OR experience
+ Must be competent to lead in: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn, and Vascular Surgery
+ At least two years experience in a similar-size facility
+ Graduate of an accredited Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) program
+ **Certification Required:**
+ Certified Surgical Technologist (CST – NBSTSA) **or**
+ Tech in Surgery (TS-C – NCCT)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualities

+ Proficiency with wire techniques
+ Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills

**Pay Details:** $27.00 to $37.00 per hour
