    Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsibilities As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plans and executes joint and combined command post and field training exercises to train USTRANSCOM staff and components in assigned missions, and plan/coordinate USTRANSCOM support for external exercise requirements. Ensures training requirements and exercise objectives are applied to all exercise scenarios, including those that are partnered with other Combatant Commands and external agencies. Develops and revises policy and guidance pertaining to the USTRANSCOM Joint Training Program. Establishes, maintains, and executes the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) for USTRANSCOM-sponsored exercises and supports JELC activities of linked and supported exercises of external agencies. Serves as a Program Manager and Joint Exercise Planner for USTRANSCOM Joint exercise and training mission. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Planning and executing joint command post or field training exercises and providing support to and coordination with internal and external agencies. Developing and executing Combatant Command-level policy and management for all aspects of joint exercise's, which may include resourcing, planning, design, development, and execution for the Command. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
