    Description

    A long-established agricultural distributor in Fallbrook is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support a growing finance department. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and enjoys maintaining the accuracy of day-to-day accounting functions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Process high-volume AP/AR transactions with accuracy and timeliness

    + Assist with daily cash postings, invoice entry, and payment matching

    + Prepare bank deposits and support weekly check runs

    + Maintain orderly and well-organized digital and paper accounting files

    + Assist the Staff Accountant with monthly reconciliations, vendor statements, and aging reports

    + Maintain internal spreadsheets tracking expenses, sales orders, and vendor credits

    + Answer vendor inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and support accounting department projects as needed

    Requirements

    + 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (AP/AR hybrid preferred)

    + Experience with any ERP accounting system (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)

    + Solid understanding of basic accounting principles

    + Proficient in Excel — v-lookups, sorting/filtering, and basic formulas

    + Strong communication skills and high accuracy in data entry

    + Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle confidential information
