Description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney with a minimum of seven years of legal expertise to join our client in CA on a fully remote basis. This long-term and part-time contract position offers the opportunity to work on diverse civil litigation cases, focusing on areas such as wage and hour discovery, harassment, defamation, and contract disputes. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex legal matters effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.

• Draft and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

• Manage discovery processes, including gathering and analyzing evidence relevant to litigation.

• Represent plaintiffs in contingency-based cases, including wage and hour disputes, harassment claims, and defamation matters.

• Negotiate settlements in contract dispute cases to achieve favorable outcomes.

• Provide strategic legal advice to clients regarding case developments and potential resolutions.

• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless handling of assigned cases.

• Prepare for and participate in interviews or meetings to discuss case progress and strategies.

• Review and refine written materials, including legal writing samples, to ensure clarity and professionalism.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations to inform case strategies.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid attorney license and be in good standing in CA

• Minimum of seven years of experience in civil litigation.

• Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

• Solid experience in managing discovery processes and handling evidence.

• Demonstrated ability to represent plaintiffs in complex legal cases.

• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of settling disputes effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of laws and regulations relevant to civil litigation.
