Description We are looking for an experienced Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance and alignment with organizational goals. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively balance employee engagement with cost management.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits strategies that align with organizational goals.

• Collaborate with vendors and manage relationships to ensure optimal delivery of benefits programs.

• Conduct detailed analysis of benefits programs, making recommendations for improvements and cost savings.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FMLA and other applicable laws.

• Address and resolve union grievances, working closely with labor representatives to maintain positive relationships.

• Develop and maintain risk management strategies related to employee benefits.

• Support employee engagement initiatives by ensuring benefits programs meet workforce needs.

• Manage and negotiate union contracts as they relate to compensation and benefits.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends and data analysis.

• Coordinate benefit enrollment processes and address employee inquiries effectively. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management.

• Strong knowledge of benefits analysis, coordination, and compliance regulations.

• Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.

• Familiarity with FMLA and other labor-related regulations.

• Proven ability to handle union grievances and manage union contracts.

• Expertise in risk management related to employee benefits.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement employee engagement strategies.
