Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced emergency department, where you will play a crucial role in preparing for patient exams, managing patient information, and ensuring smooth operations for both new and returning patients.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare necessary information, equipment, and supplies for patient exams.
+ Process requests for prescription refills according to established practice.
+ Collect and send specimens to appropriate labs for testing per protocol.
+ Report and refer patient concerns, symptoms, reactions, and changes to licensed clinic personnel promptly and accurately.
+ Schedule, edit, and maintain patient physician appointments for new and returning patients using the scheduling system.
+ Schedule radiology appointments.
+ Maintain clean and orderly exam rooms, hallways, and work areas.
+ Inform patients about authorization and collect payment for new and returning patients using the scheduling system.
+ Collect patient demographic and insurance data, enter it into systems, and assign medical record numbers.
+ Ensure verifications and authorizations are complete before patients see providers.
+ Assist with all messaging from the patient to the physician in a timely manner.
Essential Skills
+ Medical knowledge and emergency response experience.
+ EMT License.
+ American Heart Association BLS certification.
+ Experience working on an ambulance.
+ Proficiency in Epic, BLS, and CPR.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ EMT Certification.
+ BLS Certification.
+ Experience in emergent situations.
Work Environment
Work in a 75-bed emergency department that offers a fast-paced and challenging environment. The position involves graveyard shifts, providing an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a Level 1 trauma center and teaching hospital.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Stanford, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
