    Job Title: Decedent Care RepresentativeJob Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Decedent Care Representative to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial support in the Decedent Care department, ensuring the seamless documentation and assistance throughout the process from notification of a patient's passing to their delivery to the morgue. You will be part of a dynamic team handling 130-160 calls monthly, working alongside at least two other employees per shift.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with and document every step from the initial notification of a patient's passing to the delivery to the morgue.

    + Handle and manage 130-160 calls per month regarding deceased patients.

    + Work collaboratively with a team of at least two employees per shift.

    Essential Skills

    + A minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare roles such as EMT, Paramedic, RN, Funeral Services, Aides, CMA, or CNA.

    + Professional, empathetic, and accurate communication skills.

    + Meticulous attention to detail for accurate documentation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + A 2 or 4-year degree in Mortuary Science is preferred but not required.

    Work Environment

    This position requires 100% on-site work with rotating shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (48 hours), and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (36 hours). The work environment involves traveling frequently by foot to various clinics.     This is a Contract position based out of Durham, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
