Job Title: Electronic Test Engineer - TPMS
Job Description
The Electronic Test Engineer will be responsible for the development of new Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) hardware, software, and systems. The role involves collaborating with the lead engineer to manage a subset of parts and requirements. The engineer will lead design reviews with internal and external teams, including suppliers, while ensuring quality documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements such as FMVSS and ECE. The position also requires packaging the receiver module for optimized RF reception and developing design verification plans for TPMS systems.
Responsibilities
+ Lead design reviews with internal and external teams, including suppliers.
+ Develop and review quality documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
+ Ensure compliance with RF certification and homologation.
+ Optimize RF reception by packaging the receiver module.
+ Develop and execute design verification plans for TPMS systems on bench, HIL, and vehicle.
+ Track status and issues using FEDE and JIRA.
+ Support programs through launch by leading issue resolution and presenting status to management.
+ Collaborate with Chassis and Vehicle Operations teams to ensure interface and assembly requirements are met.
+ Travel to supplier facilities and assembly plants for design reviews and product launches.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience with design and testing of automotive electrical systems.
+ Electrical testing and application testing expertise.
+ Ability to develop and execute design verification plans for TPMS.
+ Proficiency in tracking status and issues using FEDE and JIRA.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with vehicle network tools, including CANalyzer.
+ Experience with development and testing of wireless technology.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $51.00/hr.
