Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technologist responsible for performing laboratory testing assigned to the department. The successful candidate will maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform effectively and ensure excellent communication with the department and other laboratory services personnel. This role involves pre-analytical tasks, CLIA waived tests, and moderate to high complexity testing using routine chemistries with automated and semi-automated methods.
Responsibilities
+ Perform laboratory testing assigned to the department.
+ Maintain knowledge of all current SOPs.
+ Communicate effectively with department and laboratory personnel.
+ Perform pre-analytical tasks including receipt, qualification, and preparation of samples.
+ Conduct CLIA waived tests and moderate/high complexity testing on various samples.
+ Utilize automated/semi-automated methods with internal support systems.
+ Report unusual test results promptly to appropriate management.
+ Operate equipment according to established protocols and quality control limits.
+ Recognize equipment malfunctions and technical problems, resolving them appropriately.
+ Prepare and maintain reports/records and perform computer data entry.
+ Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences discipline.
+ 0-1 years of laboratory experience in academic or industry settings.
+ Proficiency in chemistry, lab equipment, CLIA procedures, biology, and medical testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with laboratory equipment and protocols.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and within a team.

This is a Contract position based out of Norcross, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
