Job Description
We are seeking a Metrology Calibration Specialist to join a dedicated team in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for calibrating and certifying a variety of Measurement and Test Equipment, supporting the development of procedures for test equipment, and tackling new and challenging problems every day. You will work with diverse metrology parameters such as precision dimensional, optical precision, mass, temperature-humidity, pressure, flow, and force. This position supports both military and commercial programs, ensuring products and services meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Responsibilities
+ Support and plan activities to conduct and document tests on measurement and test equipment.
+ Coordinate test requirements and determine test methods and capabilities.
+ Conduct routine tests, analyze data, and document results.
+ Maintain test procedure revisions and updates.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory and test-related problems.
+ Work under general direction to ensure quality standards are met.
Essential Skills
+ 3 or more years of calibration and certification work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience with Flow, Pressure, Linear Measurements, Temperature/Humidity, Electrical, or other Physical Metrology processes.
+ Calibration and Certification Experience (3+ years minimum).
+ Physical Metrology Expertise (Flow, Pressure, Temperature/Humidity, Electrical measurements).
+ Electrical Calibration & Troubleshooting.
+ Automated Test Development (LabVIEW, Access).
+ Knowledge of PMEL or Aerospace Standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with electrical calibration/certification.
+ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).
+ Experience in the aerospace industry.
+ PMEL Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory experience.
+ Experience with LabVIEW, C, and Access.
+ Experience writing and configuring automated software and hardware tests.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
