    Job Summary: **Environmental Sustainability and LCA Specialist** will lead strategic initiatives for the Social and Environmental Responsibility Team that ensure the environmental sustainability of Dell’s supply chain.

    What** **you’ll** **achieve

     

    As an **Environmental Sustainability and LCA Specialist** , you will be responsible for supporting business critical environmental responsibility functions. This includes supporting our supply chain greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (scope 3 category 1) footprint calculation, Emissions Supplier Engagement Program, and supporting our environmental reporting, compliance, and standards requirements. Be part of a team that leads one of the industry’s most comprehensive audit programs to ensure compliance with all requirements from industry associations, government and other regulatory bodies and provide climate mitigation recommendations and action plans. This role offers an excellent opportunity to blend your technical skills in sustainability science and influencing skills to drive change to help meet ambitious climate targets.

    You will:

    + Lead the transition for scope 3 category 1GHGemissions calculationto amore granular,activity-based approachthrough collaboration with internaland external partners.

    + Build out the datainfrastructureand pipelinefor category 1 footprint calculationbased on products’LifeCycleAssessment(LCA) data and procurement data; perform analyses, assessments anddocumentmethodologyas neededfor auditpreparedness.

    + Formulatenear-and long-termstrategies for supplier emissions reductionprogramand help craft situational action plans tofacilitatecost-effectivereductionproject implementation/Engage with key stakeholders including Procurement, Product Group and CorporateImpactteams on various environmental sustainabilityprograms.

    + Present supply chain emissions programsstrategy,progress or updates to executives and management to seek support,alignmentor approval/Engage with external organizations and partners to support the broader supplychaindecarbonization goals.

    + Support projects thatmodifyinternaldatasystems, integratecutting edgetools and processes that enhance Dell’s supply chain emissionstracking andreduction programs/Support team’sreportingworkstreamsincluding metrics calculation,narrative developmentfor supply chainsustainabilityrelatedsections in corporatereporting(CDP, CSRD, etc.).

    + Support team inbuilding business cases forsupply chain renewable energyinitiatives and engage withinternal stakeholdersandthird-partyconsultants/Support team ininterpreting criteria, collectingdataand securing points for EPEAT or other eco-label requirements on energy and GHG emissions.

    + Lead other ad-hoc initiativeson supply chain decarbonization asidentifiedby the team or leadership.

    Requirements 

    + Master’sdegreein environmental sustainability related fieldstronglypreferred,PhD degree welcome/10+years’experienceinleadingenvironmentalsustainabilityprograms, preferably with a focus on quantitativesustainabilitymetrics,withat least5+ years in a corporate environmentor ahighly matrixedorganization.

    + Demonstratedexpertiseinscope 3 GHG emissions, withproficientknowledge ofboth spend-based andactivity-basedapproaches;demonstratedexpertiseinLifeCycleAssessment (LCA), includingmethodology,databasesand tools. ExperienceinelectronicsLCAsisdesirable.

    + Strong data analyticsskills, withproficiencyindata wrangling, modeling,and visualization(excel,Python, SQL, etc.)and comfortable with big datasets.

    + Broad knowledgeandexperience in environmental sustainability, climate science, decarbonization strategies, etc/Demonstrated experience in influencing senior management and cross-functional stakeholders, with excellent executive communication andpresentationsskills.

    + Ability to translatecomplex technical information into digestiblenarratives and create strong visualizationsfor non-technicalaudiences;ability to interact effectively at all levels and build consensus and influence decision-makers/Proficiencyin Mandarin Chinese is a plus

     

    Compensation

     

    Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position: $165,000 to $210,000
