    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description

     

    Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler where you will perform all aspects of mechanical and electrical assembly, including sealers, heat tunnels, and sub-assemblies. This role requires pulling stock from the warehouse, building devices, performance testing, and troubleshooting errors. You will also assist in various areas of the shop including sawing, punch press, machining, deburring, and metal finishing.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble mechanical and electrical devices including sealers and heat tunnels.

    + Read and interpret process documentation, drawings, prints, diagrams, and schematics.

    + Pull parts from inventory to assemble devices.

    + Complete paperwork such as work orders, forms, and checklists.

    + Test, troubleshoot, and inspect assembled products for defects.

    + Recommend updates to assembly procedures and documentation as necessary.

    + Help out in sawing, punch press, machining, deburring, and metal finishing when needed.

    + Maintain accurate inventories and participate in cycle counting.

    + Train other co-workers as needed.

    + Work safely and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

    Essential Skills

    + 6 months of experience following assembly instructions.

    + Knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, impact drivers, socket sets, and wrenches.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

    + Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with electronic assembly and general production.

    + Capability to handle and repair using hand and power tools.

    + Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes.

    Work Environment

    Work in a brand new facility, recently renovated 1.5 years ago. The position is for the 1st shift from 7am to 3:30pm. The shop comprises two departments: subassembly and finish assembly, where you will have the opportunity to work with various hand and power tools.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Big Lake, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
