    Job Title: Maintenance Helper/Trainee** **Job Description

     

    Join a dynamic team of maintenance professionals in a welding shop dedicated to producing cable management and skid packages for the data center industry. As a Maintenance Helper/Trainee, you will support a team of four maintenance experts, handling essential tasks that ensure operations run smoothly. This position offers you the opportunity to learn and grow into a skilled maintenance mechanic or electrician, setting you up for significant career advancement.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist the maintenance team with various tasks in a welding shop environment.

    + Perform general labor and support tasks as assigned.

    + Engage in hands-on training to develop skills as a maintenance mechanic/electrician.

    + Work with mechanical tools and hand tools.

    + Be available to work flexible hours, starting as early as 6am or as late as 8am, and staying as late as necessary during machine downtimes.

    Essential Skills

    + Basic mechanical knowledge.

    + Experience in automotive or mechanical positions, preferably 1-2 years.

    + Ability to work in hot and dirty environments.

    + Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

    + Capability to work under tense conditions without frustration.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in maintenance or as a skilled helper (electrician, plumber, carpenter) is a plus.

    Work Environment

    Work in a non-climate-controlled welding shop around machinery, with a daily expectation of getting dirty. Shifts are from 6am/8am to 2:30pm, with flexibility required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
