    Job Description

    Join our dynamic Grinding Department where you will operate both manual and automated machines to grind and polish wires for medical applications. This role involves standing with the comfort of floor mats provided. You will feed wires into buffing machines, verify measurements using an automatic measuring machine, and ensure precision by visual inspection and the use of micrometers and calipers. You will also perform documentation and adhere to work instructions. Opportunities for cross-training into other machine stations and the clean room area are available if interested.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate manual and automated machines in the Grinding Department.

    + Feed wires into buffing machines and use automatic measuring machines for verification.

    + Call a technician to adjust machines when measurements are out of tolerance.

    + Perform visual inspections and check measurements using micrometers and calipers.

    + Document processes and follow work instructions.

    + Cross-train to other machine stations and clean room area as desired.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a medically regulated environment without a clean room requirement. The shop is very organized, well-lit, and clean, built only two years ago. The role involves mostly standing, with some sitting opportunities. Enjoy a beautiful break room equipped with vending machines, fridges, and microwaves. Comfortable working around large, safe machines that require attention to safety and aptitude. Handle thin medical coils requiring detail and dexterity. The shift runs from Sunday to Thursday, 10pm-6am.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Circle Pines, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.80 - $23.10/hr.
