    Job Title: Extruder Operator** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled extruder operator with experience in operating, setting up, or programming extruders. Candidates with a strong background in the plastics industry are highly desirable. This role involves a variety of tasks requiring expertise in the industry, and we are keen to explore your day-to-day experience in this field.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate all plant equipment effectively, making necessary adjustments and cleaning the machine.

    + Document work performed as required.

    + Changeover, operate, maintain, shut down, and clean compounding lines and auxiliary equipment.

    + Set up and prepare materials, equipment, and paperwork for processing daily.

    + Comply with all quality standards.

    + Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and operational issues.

    + Adhere to all safety and housekeeping policies.

    + Load and unload trucks as necessary.

    + Operate forklift and other powered equipment.

    + Report incidents, safety concerns, and equipment issues to the supervisor.

    + Make ERP inventory and manufacturing transactions as needed.

    + Track and maintain supplies for the production floor.

    + Document detailed process and quality data in appropriate forms.

    + Proactively communicate project work status and issues on a daily basis.

    + Make creative and sound recommendations on improving extrusion performance.

    + Demonstrate commitment by leading, acting, and behaving in a manner consistent with company values.

    + Perform any additional job duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with extrusion, extrusion machines, and extruding processes.

    + Knowledge of plastics extrusion and plastics engineering.

    + Experience with Single Screw or Twin Screw Machines.

    + Proficiency in SAP ERP systems.

    + Strong mathematical and technical knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Single Screw Machines.

    + Experience with Twin Screw Machines.

    + Knowledge of downstream processes.

    + Experience in setting up machines.

    + background in technician work.

    + Plastics industry experience.

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
