Special Education Teacher (Virtual)
Start Date: January 6, 2026
Contract Length: Through 2025–2026 school year
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:50 AM – 3:10 PM (37.5 hrs/week)
Role Overview
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, delivers high-quality virtual instruction and support to K–5 students with exceptional needs. This role emphasizes collaboration, individualized instruction, and compliance with IEP requirements in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide virtual special education services, including instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.
+ Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and complete all required documentation on time.
+ Maintain regular communication with classroom teachers, parents, and EC team members.
+ Utilize Google Classroom and Google Meet for instruction and student engagement.
+ Adapt lessons and schedules to meet diverse student needs.
+ Collaborate with EC TA, administration, and families to ensure student success.
Minimum Requirements
+ Active North Carolina EC Teaching License (required).
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).
+ At least 1 year of teaching experience (preferred).
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
+ Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Ability to work virtually and manage caseload effectively.
