    Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) – Carmichael, CA

     

    Pay Rate: $50/hr

     

    Hours: 40 per week

     

    Duration: Remainder of the 2025–2026 school year

     

    Grade Levels: K–12

     

    Setting: School-based

    About the Role

    We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to join our team in Carmichael, CA. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will provide high-quality services to students with special needs, collaborating with general education staff and other professionals to implement individualized programs that support student success.

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver specialized instruction and support to students in grades K–12

    + Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to ensure inclusive practices

    + Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

    + Provide consultation and tutorial assistance as needed

    + Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid California teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations

    + Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Certifications:

    + Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)

    + Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)

    + Standard Special Teaching (preferred)

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
