    Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) (https://www.northropgrumman.com/what-we-do/mission-solutions/microelectronics) is seeking **Principal Requirements Systems Engineer** or **Senior Principal Requirements Systems Engineer.**

    What You’ll Get to Do:

    Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a **Principal/Sr. Principal Requirements Systems Engineer** to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA.

     

    Scope will include requirement and verification ownership, including analysis, definition, and flow down of requirements, and verification planning. This role will also support cost and schedule activities for ROMs and proposal for Requirements & Verification, and the selected candidate will be the focal point for requirements and verification.

    Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    + Requirement Creation

    + Requirement Decomposition

    + Requirements Ownership to lower levels

    + Cameo Model experience

    + Application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

    + Verification Planning and VCRM Development

    + Cost Reduction Trades and Activities

    + Generation and tracking of Technical Performance Measures (TPMs)

    + Open requirement issues (TBX) tracking and resolution

     

    This position will serve on-site in Redondo Beach, CA.

     

    This requisition may be filled as a Principal Requirements Systems Engineer or Sr Principal Requirements Systems Engineer.

     

    This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.

    Basic Qualifications for Principal Requirements Systems Engineer

    + Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 5 or more years of experience; 3 or more years with Master's Degree; 1 or more years with PhD

    + 2 or more years of Requirements experience

    + Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical documentation, presentations, and stakeholder interactions

    + This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

    + Current Active DoW Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI and FS Polygraph **(Cannot start until all clearances have been obtained)**

    Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Requirements Systems Engineer

    + Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 8 or more years of experience; 6 or more years with Master's Degree; 4 or more years with PhD

    + 2 or more years of Requirements experience

    + Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical documentation, presentations, and stakeholder interactions

    + This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

    + Current Active DoW Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI and FS Polygraph **(Cannot start until all clearances have been obtained)**

    Preferred Qualifications for Principal Requirements Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Requirements Systems Engineer

    + Current Active DoW TS/SCI with Polygraph

    + Master’s Degree and/or PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline

    + Experience in element or subsystem integration

    + Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements

    + Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, and/or model based system engineering

    + Cameo model experience

     

    This position is contingent upon Funding/Contract award, special access program and acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers' requirements prior to start.

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00

     

    Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
