    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Design Technician to join our team. This role is focused on delivering 100% design work for concrete forming and shoring systems. The Design Technician will be responsible for creating detailed CAD drawings and performing basic engineering analysis to ensure safe and efficient construction solutions. This role pays up to $25/hr or $52k annually.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop forming and shoring drawings for assigned projects.

    • Interpret contract drawings and produce CAD designs illustrating how concrete walls will be constructed.

    • Provide full working drawings detailing the forming process for concrete structures.

    • Perform basic engineering calculations, including:

    • Base spacing

    • Anchor load analysis

    • Shoring calculations (analyzing concrete slab weight and ensuring equipment is not overloaded).

    • Utilize calculators and engineering tools to verify design integrity.

    • Collaborate with and work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE).

     

    Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Engineering degree

     

    - Autocad or Revit experience

     

    - Basic understanding of statics - Bachelors degree or higher

     

    - 2-3 years of experience with Autocad
