    Overview

     

    The Teaming Rep, Inside Sales works closely with a Field Sales partner on targeted accounts with decentralized purchasing behaviors to drive sales growth and customer retention. Teamed sales resources are expected to maintain an effective communication cadence with customers to execute a defined account sales strategy at the customer site level. This quota-driven sales role is responsible for driving sales growth and purchasing compliance at the site level by:

     

    + Establishing and executing customer contact strategies

    + Identifying and developing relationships with site-level decision makers, influencers, and purchasing contacts

    + Enabling purchasing capabilities/functionality for customer contacts

    + Creating a pipeline by identifying sales opportunities and advancing them through the sales process

    + Driving sales growth and line-of-business penetration at the customer site level

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Conduct daily phone calls and customer engagements with decision makers, influencers, buyers, and end users to produce impactful results. Utilize sales methodologies to identify pipeline opportunities and advance the sales process. Serve as a single point of contact to provide quick, timely responses to customers and drive increases in annual spend and purchasing compliance with ODP Business Solutions.

    + Manage an annual revenue base between $4m-$15m and work toward an incremental year-over-year percentage sales goal.

    + Work toward a defined sales quota by managing, maintaining, and growing an assigned book of business. Expand line-of-business purchasing beyond core product offerings to meet buyer needs and ensure long-term customer retention.

    + Build sales opportunities by understanding the customer's business, market conditions, competition, and industry trends. Establish and maintain relationships with existing customers to understand their organizational structure.

    + Increase orders by suggesting related items and introducing new products and services. Sustain existing business relationships, respond to product and/or service inquiries, and seek opportunities to enhance business potential across all product service lines. Respond to inquiries including price, order placements, benefits, product differentiation, objections, and availability. Work to increase average order value, grow revenue, and increase margins for each order, as well as develop long-term purchasing programs with customers.

    + Partner with the Outside Sales team to increase account development efforts. Ensure communication with the correct person/role in the organization to grow sales.

    + Maintain and improve quality results by following company standards and guidelines.

    Education & Experience

    + **Level of Formal Education:** High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

    + **Area of Study:** Sales, Marketing, or Business

    + **Years and Type of Experience:** Minimum 1–3 years of experience in sales, marketing, business, or a related field

    Technical Competencies & Information Systems:

    + Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for information and job completion

    + Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    + Working knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce.com, Oracle, AOPS, Gmillennia, Cognos)

    Skills & Abilities:

    + Demonstrated understanding of the customer relationship process; experience with mid to senior-level customers

    + Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and field partners

    + Excellent negotiation and presentation skills

    + Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

    + Develop and implement market strategies to retain and acquire business

    + Strong team focus with initiative to achieve goals

    + Maintain and update databases with required customer information in CRM

    + Results-oriented mindset with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

    Language Skills:

    + Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

    + Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    Personal Attributes & Other/Preferred:

    + Provide regular updates and reports to management on account activities, sales forecasts, and client feedback

    + Demonstrate a questioning attitude when working with customers and produce results

    + Able to overcome objections in a calm and professional manner

    + Regular contact with ISO Leadership, Human Resources, Sales Support, Training, and ISO sales management teams

    **Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule:** The salary range for this role is $21.85/hour to $34.14/hour, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
