About the Opportunity:

+ Approximately 32,000 visits per year (average 90 patients/day)

+ 18 ED beds plus designated Flex area for hallway beds; Hospital has 80 inpatient beds

+ Interventional cardiology and cath lab for STEMIs

+ Primary Stroke Center with tele-stroke/neuro support

+ OB/GYN services (no NICU)

+ No pediatric admissions

+ Epic EMR with strong physician customization and optimization

+ Shift Structure: Combination of 10- and 12-hour shifts; no triage responsibilities; single coverage from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or

+ Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

+ Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or

+ Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

+ Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required and

+ Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required and

+ Must be credentialed for all core procedures. Upon Hire Required

+ Certification as an Emergency Medical Commander. Upon Hire Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Clinical skills and knowledge of emergency care, techniques and procedures.

+ Teaching skills.
