Job Description

Starting salary is based on steps 1-10 per MWTA Contract. Starting salary will be prorated.

Marcus Whitman CSD is seeking a dedicated and qualified TESOL teacher to provide English language instruction and support to multilingual learners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and helping students achieve English language proficiency while accessing academic content.

Responsibilities:

+ Plan, deliver, and assess instruction for English Language Learners (ELLs) aligned with NYSED ENL and TESOL standards (or applicable state standards).

+ Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development across content areas.

+ Differentiate instruction based on students’ English proficiency levels and learning needs.

+ Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families.

+ Participate in professional development and school/district initiatives related to multilingual learners.
