### Job Duties
Duties may include: harvesting, loading, unloading, carrying, planting, mulching, fertilizing, watering, weed pulling, weed spraying, delivering, and maintaining plants including balled and burlaped, container and bare root trees, shrubs, perennials and other plants. Driving various farm equipment: tractors, skid loaders, and trucks. Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment used & other related Nursery Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).
The start and end of the workday depend on crop and weather conditions, which means work may begin or end earlier or later than usual. Evening and/or night hours may be required. Employees will be offered, at minimum, a 30-minute unpaid meal break each workday. Additional rest or meal periods may be provided in accordance with applicable state laws.

No High School Diploma or GED required
### Minimum Experience Required
Must be 18 due to state labor laws. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 60lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work and possess/maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

### Additional Compensation
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

### Job Benefits
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
