    Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking to fill a Full-Time Career Coach position in Genesee County.

     

    $17.00 an hour plus 20% discount on in-store purchases.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    + Contribute to the development and promotion of each individual’s business and/or vocational goals.

    + Coordinate tasks/jobs within incubator space and/or community sites.

    + Ensure high quality of production of goods and services.

    + Assist individuals in reaching their IPOS goals, specifically with regard to their micro-enterprise business.

    + Ensure supplies are properly secured for each job.

    + Work on production, when necessary.

    + Coach and promote personal growth for each individual to reach quality standards.

    Education and Experience:

    + High school diploma required with a preference toward those with an Associate’s Degree.

    + At least one year of experience working with people who have disabilities.

    + Previous production and/or training experience of at least two years highly desirable.

    + Must have computer skills and be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.

    + Experience in small business community preferred.

    + Graphic Design experience is a plus.

    Other Qualifications:

    + Ability to function as a job coach for people with disabilities.

    + Dependable, tact, resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment.

    + MDCH Direct Care Training or equivalent or complete training within 30 days.

    + Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and maintain car insurance.

    + May require lifting up to 25 pounds.

    + Requires standing and/or walking for periods of time.
