As a **Security Officer - Retail Access Patrol** in **New York, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for guests and staff. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, staying visible throughout the property, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.

+ Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist customers, visitors, and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

+ Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and location staff to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
