Position Summary:
As an IT Helpdesk Administrator, you will provide initial support to end users via e-mail, phone and
chat. Using critical thinking skills, along with generalized product knowledge, the agent will assess,
diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve all issues within their scope and skillset before elevating to Tier 2
or the Systems/Network Administrator
Position Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365 Administration:
+ Assist in the day to day operations of the IT team, providing support to employees, vendors and senior IT staff.
+ Assist the Network and Systems Administrators with large scale deployments/upgrades/etc.
+ Maintain the company’s side of our ERP system, modifying documents, minor values, etc.
+ Assist in maintaining company IT inventory, setting up new hires, ensuring all IT needs are met.
+ Assist in employee onboardings and terminations from an IT perspective (Access, accounts, etc.)
Qualifications
Skills & Requirements:
+ Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, or the equivalent work-related experience.
+ At least 1 year of experience in a help desk role, along with Comp TIA ITF+ Certification.
+ A+ Certified, or obtains certification within 6 months.
+ Able to change a print toner cartridge and imaging unit.
+ Able to walk someone though basic troubleshooting steps in person, through email, or over the phone.
+ Knowing the 7 steps of the OSI model (working knowledge, implementation and extensive use not needed).
+ The ability to accurately describe the initial issue, along with all troubleshooting steps taken before passing a ticket on to L2/SA/NA.
+ Understanding IP addressing schemes, formats, and subnetting (working knowledge, no need to be a SME).
+ The ability to handle stress and time management in an effective manner.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
+ Position is in an office environment.
+ Position will require entry to GMP and controlled areas with specific dress code requirements.
+ Position will require some walking, standing and sitting.
+ Being able to sit for long periods of time.
+ Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
