    As a **Warehouse Associate** in **NORTH HAVEN, CT** , you’ll play an important role in making sure freight gets where it needs to go, working alongside a top caliber management team that understands the transportation industry.

    Responsibilities for the Warehouse Associate include but are not limited to:

    + Assist with **shipping and receiving** activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and distributing orders for processing.

    + Read customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders to determine items to be **moved, gathered, and shipped** .

    + Complete work in a safe manner; ensure the warehouse is **accessible and safe** for traffic, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

    + Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, take **check calls from drivers** , and validate load data prior to marking loads delivered.

    Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

    + Availability to work the shift of **Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM** , with flexibility to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes.

    + Must be able to **lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds** and have the ability to **load and unload trucks** .

    + The ability to apply **critical thinking** to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.

    + Basic **written and verbal communication skills** and basic computer skills.

    + _Preferred:_ Dock or **warehouse experience** in the transportation industry, and experience using handheld scanners.

    **Pay Details:** $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
