Adecco is recruiting for a **Warehouse Sorter** for a client in **East Syracuse, NY** . This is a **_temp-to-hire_** position, paying **$17.50/hour** .

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable **Processor/Sorter** to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for scanning, labeling, sorting, and preparing packages for shipment while ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, demonstrates teamwork, and upholds high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Unpack, scan, and label small to medium-sized packages and parts.

+ Create and print shipping labels and required documentation using various systems (UPS, USPS, and proprietary platforms).

+ Scan and label inbound freight from tractor-trailers to assist forklift operators with unloading and staging.

+ Assist in the manual loading of box trucks.

+ Secure crates to pallets using proper banding techniques.

+ Sort and stage packages based on city, location, and coding.

+ Document damaged cartons using proper procedures and equipment.

+ Build pallets in a secure and damage-preventive manner.

+ Perform inventory counts based on packing slips during loading/unloading.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

+ Follow all safety guidelines and efficient lifting/handling procedures.

+ Complete other warehouse duties and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent.

+ Flexible and available to work required overtime.

+ Strong attendance record and punctuality.

+ Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment.

+ Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

+ Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

+ Ability to handle multiple priorities and follow instructions accurately.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

+ Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 20 lbs.

+ Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities throughout the shift.

+ Work is performed in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures and noise levels.

**Pay Details:** $17.50 per hour
