Adecco is assisting a client in recruiting for a full-time, direct-hire **Administrative Assistant** role located fully onsite in **South Plainfield, NJ.** This position offers a starting pay rate of $22 per hour and provides the opportunity to support multiple departments in a dynamic fabrication and production environment.
Job Summary
The Administrative Support Specialist will provide day-to-day administrative assistance to department managers and ensure smooth office operations. This role supports various functions across Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and additional departments as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Perform data entry and filing for multiple departments, including Quality Assurance and Purchasing
+ Prepare and type routine correspondence such as memos, meeting minutes, reports, and findings
+ Create and maintain filing systems and archive company documents
+ Assist supervisors with a variety of administrative tasks and follow established office procedures
+ Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, clients, and supervisors
+ Interact with production employees in a fabrication facility to exchange information and conduct inventories
+ Serve as backup receptionist, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and supporting other departments as needed
+ Perform additional duties as assigned
+ Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 6 months to 1 year of administrative experience
+ Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to read and write in English; bilingual preferred
+ Ability to multitask effectively
Salary up to $49,920. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.
**Pay Details:** $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
