    Manager, RN – Labor & Delivery

     

    **Night shift:** **11 PM – 7 AM |** Five shifts per week, may include weekends

     

    Compensation range: $45–$58/hr

    Relocation Considered | Bonus Eligible

    A leading healthcare system in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced **Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager** to provide operational and clinical leadership within a high-volume L&D department. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong acute care L&D leader to guide a skilled nursing team and support exceptional patient care for women, newborns, and families.

    Position Overview

    The RN Manager of Labor & Delivery is responsible for the overall administration and evaluation of patient care in a busy L&D unit. This leader will collaborate with senior management, drive departmental quality initiatives, support staff development, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Oversee day-to-day operations within a 15–20 bed Labor & Delivery unit

    + Evaluate and support patient care delivery, quality outcomes, and safety standards

    + Provide direct leadership to nursing staff, fostering clinical competence and professional growth

    + Participate in budgeting, staffing forecasts, and departmental planning

    + Serve as a resource and clinical expert for the L&D team

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support departmental and organizational objectives

    + Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead quality initiatives

    Qualifications

    + **3–5 years of recent acute care L&D leadership experience (within last year) – Required**

    + Current Texas RN license

    + Bachelor’s degree required

    + BCLS certification

    + NRP certification (within 6 months of hire)

    + AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification (within 6 months of hire)

    + ACLS and experience in related specialties (PACU, ICU, OR, L&D) preferred

    **Pay Details:** $45.00 to $58.00 per hour
