**Pay Range:** $27.47 - $38.81 per hour

Summary:
As a member of the Alive Faith Network, the Marketing Content Specialist develops and implements content strategy that aligns with Rush's Alive Faith Network goals and end user needs. The Marketing Content Specialist supports work on multiple of Preventive Medicine/Alive Faith Network Research projects and programs, including marketing collateral, web content, advertising and community newsletters. The Marketing Content Specialist works collaboratively with members of the Preventive Medicine research team to accomplish its community engagement objectives. The Marketing Content Strategist adheres to Rush style guidelines, branding and content strategy. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of experience of writing experience in Marketing Communications
• Experience working collaboratively with other professionals to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Expertise working with clients and internal colleagues to promote content strategy aligned with business goals and user needs.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to convey complex ideas in creative, easy-to-understand ways.
• Comfortable interviewing people at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
• Able to work independently and as part of multifunctional teams.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Health care experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Align content with Alive Faith Network’s goals and user needs
2. Help the Alive Faith Network determine their communication goals.
3. Use data to support content development recommendations and make recommendations on the best channels for distribution of that content.
4. Help prioritize web content development, provide and edit content
5. Coordinate content marketing efforts.
6. Coordinate and integrate content marketing to align with AFN’s strategic initiatives.
7. Use data to develop content ideas and refine content delivery, including search engine optimization (SEO) considerations.
8. Write and edit copy for print and web that is consistent with communications strategy.
9. Interview sources and conduct research as needed.
10. Carefully collect and process source input or approvals as needed.
11. Serve as managing editor of Alive Faith Network website.
12. Coordinate photo or video shoots as needed, and work with graphic designers and other members of the marketing team.
13. Proofread and edit colleagues' copy and accept edits and other feedback from colleagues as part of a collaborative effort to achieve the best quality content.
14. Work efficiently and effectively with members of the department.
15. Provide project support AFN projects (Clergy Wellness, Health Ministries, etc.), assist with planning and presentation development for various meeting and events as assigned.
