    Job Title: Materials Supervisor** **Job Description

     

    The primary function of the position is to provide tactical execution guidance to ensure the material stores operation maintains a steady and timely flow of materials. This includes managing the processes from receiving to stores, to manufacturing, and back through stores and shipping, ensuring highly accurate and efficient processes and personnel.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide direct supervision of all receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping, and other Stores personnel.

    + Ensure all department personnel support operations with timely and efficient responses to requests.

    + Ensure incoming inspection practices are performed per the Quality Manual and collaborate with the Quality Department for efficient reporting of material and processing quality.

    + Assure kits and materials are processed and returned to stock or suppliers/customers accurately and timely.

    + Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into processes for quality and cycle time improvements.

    + Ensure materials are stored in identified locations with consistent practices.

    + Develop strategic equipment and process cycle time plans to achieve business flow.

    + Create and provide training for all department personnel in accordance with documented work instructions.

    + Maintain inventory accuracy for Finished Goods, Subassemblies, Consignment, and Components.

    + Perform accurate reconciliation cycle counts daily.

    + Prepare and plan for annual inventory, including personnel training.

    + Set and manage standards for inventory transactions such as Shipping, Receiving, Kitting, Cycle Counting, and more.

    + Assure accurate quantity counts and product movements between routing operations both physically and in the ERP system.

    + Manage routing of vehicles for customer and supply pick-ups, deliveries, and material transfers.

    + Ensure accurate reporting of department personnel for payroll.

    + Develop and implement the stores equipment plan for efficient material processing.

    + Provide a safe work environment and safety guidance on all company properties.

    + Implement SQCD and 5S meetings to identify critical KPIs and drive improvements.

    + Handle all supply chain and operations activities as required.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma

    + Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work on cross-functional teams.

    + Proven experience in electronic manufacturing stores management.

    + Effective communication skills.

    + Ability to utilize project tools for leading and driving projects.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Basic knowledge of Windows-based computers, MS Word, and Excel.

    + Experience with Macola or other similar MRP system software.

    + Experience in designing and developing new store processes using Six Sigma/Lean concepts.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes an air-conditioned electronic manufacturing setting. The role requires ascending and descending stairs, walking long distances, and occasionally lifting items up to 40 pounds. The position requires ITAR compliance and the ability to pass a background check and education verification.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
