Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description
We are seeking a skilled forklift operator and material handler to join our team. In this role, you will operate a forklift to move finished products from machines to staging areas. You will work collaboratively within a team to determine where products should be staged, ensuring no backup occurs at the machines. You will utilize an RF scanner to receive instructions on where to transport products. Additionally, you will follow a load plan to ensure staged products are loaded into the appropriate trucks.
Responsibilities
+ Operate a forklift to transport finished products from machines to staging areas.
+ Collaborate with team members to determine product staging and transport calls.
+ Use an RF scanner to receive and follow transport instructions.
+ Ensure continuous flow at the machines without backups.
+ Follow load plans to load finished products into specific trucks.
Essential Skills
+ Experience operating forklifts, ideally with clamp or unpalletized materials.
+ Proficiency with RF scanners or similar computer picking devices.
+ Experience in environments with KPIs or parts moving.
+ Strong safety awareness and understanding of OSHA regulations for forklifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience with corrugated companies is beneficial.
+ Experience handling unpalletized materials.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing facility that may have dust due to paper cutting. The facility is non-climate controlled, and employees are required to wear steel-toe boots, eyewear, hi-vis vests, and ear protection. Standard shifts are 8 hours, with openings on the second shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Carlisle, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.21 - $20.21/hr.
