Operations Technician, 1st & C Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operations Technician with experience in operating equipment in the field. The ideal candidate will have the ability to breakdown maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks, prioritize activities such as turn-offs, shutdowns, LOTO, commissioning, and inspection. This role requires a quality-driven individual who can perform maintenance work, including inspection and repair, on equipment such as pumps, filters, compressed air systems, general HVAC, air units, and more. **If you are interested in this position after reviewing responsibilities, please apply and an internal recruiter will reach out to you within 24-48 hours.**

Responsibilities

+ Operate and maintain field equipment effectively.

+ Conduct maintenance work, including inspection and repair, on various equipment.

+ Prioritize maintenance tasks such as turn-offs, shutdowns, LOTO, commissioning, and inspection.

+ Perform elevated work and work at heights as required.

+ Handle commissioning and inspection tasks efficiently.

+ Communicate effectively using a 2-way radio and occasionally a cell phone.

+ Explain health and safety procedures clearly and adhere to them.

+ Understand and implement Fall Protection and Procedure, including the use of lanyards, harnesses, and tie-offs.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in electrical work, construction, troubleshooting, industrial repair, and installation.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to use communication devices.

+ Knowledge of fall protection procedures.

+ Physical fitness for duties including climbing stairs, roof work, and outdoor repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience operating from a remote-control room (not required but a plus).

+ Background in semiconductor industry (not required but a plus).

+ Knowledge of confined spaces.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
