    Job Title: Multi Craft Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    As a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that equipment such as dryers, evaporators, and boilers throughout the plant are in optimal working condition. You will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure that all safety procedures are strictly followed. You will also need to be able to weld items, specifically stainless steel sanitary, within the first six months.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain and repair equipment, including dryers, evaporators, and boilers.

    + Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical problems.

    + Perform preventative maintenance tasks.

    + Weld items, with an emphasis on stainless steel sanitary welding.

    + Read and comprehend machinery manuals and seek clarification as needed.

    + Understand and properly handle chemicals used in production, ingredients, and cleaning, including mixing and safety procedures.

    + Work independently with minimal supervision.

    + Rebuild machinery as required.

    + Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment.

    + Ensure that other associates and contractors adhere to safety policies and procedures.

    + Work at heights, climbing ladders, stairs, and using scissor lifts.

    + Operate mechanical forklifts, scissor lifts, and hand trucks.

    + Maintain and use basic hand tools.

    Essential Skills

    + Electrical maintenance

    + Industrial maintenance

    + TIG welding

    + Knowledge of boiler and chillers

    + Understanding of pneumatics

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Welding skills are not critical initially and will be developed post-permanent employment.

    The role is set in a chemical environment dedicated to pet food manufacturing. Personal protective equipment, including hair nets, is required to maintain safety and hygiene standards.

    This is a Contract position based out of Covington, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
