Job Title: D81-Assembly Technician** **Job Description
The Engineering Development Mechanic supports the building activities for mechanical assemblies, including heavy structure drill-out bonding, fastener installation, assembling components, and wire harness installations. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Responsibilities
+ Fabricate, assemble, and utilize standard hand/power tools and precision instruments.
+ Maintain accurate buyoffs of completed work, inspections, and non-conformances.
+ Collaborate with engineers to suggest design changes and process improvements.
+ Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and configuration control.
+ Build, modify, install, troubleshoot, and repair components and structural assemblies.
Essential Skills
+ Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance, machine trades, or manufacturing technologies.
+ Experience with composites, titanium, sheet metal, riveting, fastening, wiring, tubing, and basic machining.
+ Familiarity with drawings, blueprints, and technical data.
+ Proficient in the use of tooling such as torque wrenches, countersinks, drills, deburring tools, and calibrated equipment.
+ Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication with engineers and teammates.
+ 3+ years of experience in aircraft assembly, heavy structures, or related manufacturing.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
+ Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certifications in AP specialty training or equivalent experience are desirable.
+ Technical training in aerospace assembly is preferred.

Work Environment
The position requires the ability to work in confined spaces, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. You will work with various technologies and equipment, including hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments, in a facility that adheres to strict safety and quality standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
