    Job Title: Equipment Mechanic** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to perform repair and service procedures on truck-mounted vacuum equipment. This role includes both in-shop and field work, with a focus on routine preventative maintenance inspections, lubrication, fuel, and fluid requirements. Additionally, this position may require travel for field service and repair calls. You will also be responsible for cleaning trucks, including interior detailing and exterior washing, and maintaining a clean workspace.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

    + Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics effectively.

    + Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air, and water systems.

    + Conduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards to return rental equipment to 'Ready to Rent' status.

    + Perform and document 'check in' and 'check out' inspections of fleet equipment.

    + Maintain and organize shop and storage areas, ensuring proper storage of flammable items.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace.

    + Communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

    + Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.

    + Must own and supply a basic set of hand tools and a storage box.

    + Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience as a mechanic.

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with truck-mounted vacuum equipment preferred.

    + Organizational skills and ability to multitask.

    + Self-motivated, accountable, and timely in assignments.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $70720.00/yr.
