    Job Title: Saw Operator ($20-22/hr.) (1st Shift)

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team on a 6-month contract with the potential to hire. This role offers the opportunity to operate horizontal and vertical band saws, ensuring that raw materials are cut according to specifications and blueprints. The ideal candidate will uphold quality and safety standards while working in a dynamic team environment.

     

    _(1) Opening on 1st Shift working 5:30am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday._

    Responsibilities

    + Operate horizontal and vertical band saws.

    + Cut raw material per specifications and blueprints.

    + Ensure material meets quality standards.

    + Follow safety standards and production schedules.

    + Utilize tape measure, measuring tools, and shop math.

    + Use hand tools as needed.

    + Complete documentation and label materials.

    + Set up and operate machinery.

    + Load material using overhead crane and forklift.

    + Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance, assist in troubleshooting machinery, and replace worn tools.

    + Collaborate effectively in a team environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 1 year of band saw operating experience (CNC or manual machining experience considered).

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + Proficiency in using a tape measure.

    + Strong shop math skills.

    + Proficiency with hand tools.

    + Capability to lift 50 pounds.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Crane operating experience.

    + Forklift operating experience.

    + Experience in manual machining or CNC.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a state-of-the-art facility that was relocated to a new plant last year. The shop floor is clean, organized, and well-lit, although candidates should be comfortable working with graphite, as it may get hands dirty.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
