    Description

    CNC Water Jet Machine Operation:

    The machines operator all on their own through an automated program. Candidates will not be running the machines. The CNC machines fabricate granite and quartz components according to job specifications and production schedules.

    Laser Template Alignment:

    Accurately position and align stone slabs on the CNC table using laser projection systems to ensure precise cuts and optimal material usage.

    Program Selection:

    Use computer systems to select and load the appropriate CNC program for each stone job, ensuring correct execution and minimizing errors.

    Part Swapping & Setup:

    Change out machine parts and tools as needed for different fabrication tasks, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent quality.

    Problem Solving:

    Identify and resolve issues related to machine operation, material alignment, or production flow to maintain efficiency and quality standards.

    Measurement Interpretation:

    Read and comprehend job layouts and measurements to ensure accuracy in fabrication.

    Communication & Team Support:

    Maintain clear communication with team members and assist the night shift CNC operator with transitions, updates, and shared responsibilities.

    Hand Fabrication:

    Perform manual finishing and detailing work on stone surfaces as needed to meet quality and aesthetic standards.

    Time Management:

    Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time wisely to meet production goals and deadlines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    Experience operating CNC machinery, preferably in a stone or countertop fabrication environment.

    Proficiency with computers and CNC software for program selection and job setup.

    Familiarity with laser alignment systems and ability to interpret job layouts and measurements.

    Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods.

    Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
