Job Title: Maintenance Mechanics Needed ASAP, OT Available

Job Description

The position involves maintaining paper making and converting machinery at a paper mill. Candidates will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, machine repairs, and troubleshooting using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, rollers, large gears, pumps, bearings, and belts.

+ Handle electrical tasks involving voltages from 2300v to 120v, including working with fuses, relays, VFDs, and PLCs (such as Siemens and Square D).

+ Repair converting machines, paper making equipment, dryers, blenders, and pulpers.

+ Troubleshoot, repair, rig, and manage millwright duties.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in preventive maintenance, mechanical repair, and troubleshooting.

+ Knowledge of hydraulics, conveyors, and bearings.

+ Ability to perform industrial mechanic and mechanical maintenance tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Levels of mechanics and electricians proficiency (Master, A, B, C, and helpers).

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.

+ Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.

+ Completion of courses or demonstrated knowledge in Basic Electrical Safety, Basic Industrial Safety, AC Circuits and Machinery, DC Circuits and Machinery, and Electrical Troubleshooting.

+ Must pass a pre-placement bg check.

+ Ability to climb, balance, and perform continuous standing, frequent lifting/carrying, stooping/bending/squatting/pulling/pushing, and twisting of the trunk and neck.

Work Environment

The work is structured across three shifts: 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm, 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm with a .40 premium, and 3rd shift from 11pm-7am with a .60 premium. The facility is housed in an older building that can be dirty or wet in certain areas, with temperatures that can be warm in summers and cold in winters. Be prepared to work overtime, weekends, and potentially holidays.

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
