Job Title: NPI Technician** **Job Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to assemble, troubleshoot, and test high-level, complex electro-pneumatic and fluid control assemblies. This role involves close collaboration with the Engineering Department and the NPI Lead to determine the optimal component layout and assist in generating documentation for potential production orders. The NPI Technician will work from hand sketches, drawings, emails, or any other form of communication to achieve the desired outcome and perform other tasks as required.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble and troubleshoot high-level electro-pneumatic and fluid control assemblies.
+ Collaborate with the NPI Lead, Project Engineering, and Engineering Manager to deliver prototype assemblies in a timely manner.
+ Support BES assembly in all new and existing high-level assemblies.
+ Perform field service assembly at customer sites as required.
+ Work independently with minimal direction to produce finished assemblies.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
+ High-level skill in using hand tools for assembling electro-pneumatic systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
+ Team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
+ Proven customer service skills for direct interfacing with other departments and customers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
+ Education: AA degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
+ Mechanical assembly experience.

Work Environment
The work environment includes exposure to weather conditions and production and test areas, where the noise level is usually moderate. The position requires working from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
