Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Set Up Machinist to join our team, specializing in precise manufacturing operations. This role involves operating CNC mills or lathes, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.
Responsibilities
+ Set Up and operate CNC mill or lathe efficiently.
+ Assist with saw operations as needed.
+ Polish parts to ensure high-quality finishes.
+ Perform minor maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
+ Measure parts to a tolerance of +/- .005 to ensure precision.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience with either a mill or lathe.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
+ Experience in measuring parts with precision tools.
+ Proficiency in basic shop math.
+ Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with setups, tool changes, and offsets.
+ Familiarity with programming, particularly with Mastercam.
+ Knowledge of mechanical operations and machine operating.
+ Proficiency with micrometers and calipers.

Work Environment
The job is located in a unionized, precise manufacturing shop with openings on the 2nd shift. Initially, training will occur on the 1st shift. The **2nd shift operates from 2pm to 12am over a four-day workweek, including two paid 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute paid lunch** .

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $32.00/hr.
