    Job Title: T1 Infra - Mechanical Technician

    Job Description

    This role involves performing various hands-on tasks involving systems maintenance, such as filter work, inspections, tooling, and more. The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt to changes, solve problems, and document processes efficiently. You should be confident in using mechanical repair and technical skills without needing constant supervision.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform maintenance tasks like filter work, inspections, tooling, and steam trap handling.

    + Conduct repairs, commissioning, and inspections while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

    + Communicate effectively using a two-way radio and occasionally a cell phone.

    + Work at heights and understand fall protection procedures, including the use of lanyards and harnesses.

    + Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety procedures, and the ability to follow and explain them.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong mechanical repair and technical skills.

    + Comfortable with electrical, construction, troubleshooting, and industrial repair work.

    + Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.

    + High level of communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with DX refrigeration systems and HVAC systems is a plus.

    + Knowledge of confined spaces is preferred.

     

    Supervisory skills are advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large warehouse setting where in-warehouse transportation is provided. Be prepared to be on your feet most of the day in a dirty environment. Tasks may require working outdoors or at heights as part of the daily routine.

    This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
